For those who prefer action, Omaha or Omaha Hi/Low is a great game. It is quite similar to Hold'em, the difference is that the player gets 4 hole cards. With the 2 additional cards, the possibility of getting a best hand increases. Another interesting thing about these poker games is the availability of Hi/Low versions. As the player who has hit tries to push the chasers out, the betting gets wild.

A game much better than Texas Hold'em where action is concerned is Omaha or Omaha Hi/Low. It is played almost identically to Hold'em except that the player receives 4 hole cards instead of 2. This continues till all the contenders in the game have 2 cards facing down and 4 cards facing up. This is the time when the final round of betting occurs.

Holdem Stud Poker is not a chaser's game like the other varieties of poker games, for example Omaha. If you cannot succeed in creating a good hand by the first round of betting and on getting the second up card, you have to give up. You will get buried otherwise. You also need to use your brains as you have to keep a record of all the cards dealt. You sure don't want to be looking for a 10 when all of them have already been folded on board. Razz is another different poker game just for people with bad luck. You stand to gain if you have a very bad hand. While A-2-3-4-6-7-8 in a real game is a nightmare, In Razz it is a dream come true. You require the lowest ranked hand to be a winner; otherwise the rest is the same as 7 stud. Similar to the usual stud, only 5 cards play.

Triple Draw is one more game which is drawing a lot of interest these days. It is another of the different types of poker games that are action packed and is extremely fun to play. If you play it properly, it can earn you lots of money. People normally play this game at lower levels just for enjoyment. This is a different type of Razz with a 5 card draw. You receive 5 cards and a round of betting follows. You can get rid of the cards you do not need but the end result should be a worst possible hand. 2-3-4-5-7 is great for standard Triple Draw. Another betting and discard round occurs after the first draw. After the third draw and one more round of betting, it is time for the showdown. Remember, no pairs, no flushes and no straights. You only need trash for victory.
