The Different Kinds of Tub Chairs by Antony Cassidy
There are many different kinds of tub chair on the market today, and all of them offer something a bit different in terms of design, comfort and style. The beauty of these chairs is that they can be placed in many rooms in your house, and outside as well. The most common tub chair is the single design, and these are used to compliment the present furniture in your house. Adding them to a corner position or by a patio window is a simple way of creating a nice alternative to the usual furniture that goes there such as standing lamps and cupboards.
A double tub chair can be used as a living room settee and as the central point in a room. Their elegant curves can give great contrast to other natural curves such as banister rails and staircases. Buying a leather chair will also give an air of grace and class, and these go very well with other textures in the room. A clean, crisp colour such as white or cream can add more light and space as they help to reflect sunlight entering through the windows.
For a more novel approach a swivel tub chair can be a good idea. A lot of offices and functional rooms tend to use these as they are easily moved around and provide excellent comfort and practicality. The latest designs have adjustable legs so you can alter the height to match the table or work area you are in. Another popular place for them is at the breakfast bar in the kitchen, as the swivel function makes it easier to use them in close spaces.
Outdoor tub chairs are now making their way into gardens and decking areas. Because they are so comfortable, people want this when they relax outside in the sun. They also provide much more style than the plastic outdoor furniture that you see in gardens. Normally the cushions can be taken off and brought inside in bad weather, and also they can be machine washed, so any dirt and dust can quickly be removed.
There are other kinds of tub chair that are at the cutting edge of contemporary design, using new materials and colours. You will see these at the trade shows and stands, where the top designers have a chance to show off their skills and flair.
