There aren't many individuals who wouldn't prefer to have a clean car, but there are many people who aren't so enthusiastic about getting it cleaned. You either have to do the task yourself, or pay another person to do it. Most of the time, you'll find that your preferred option is to clean it yourself because the cost of having someone else do it is prohibitive. The amount of dirt that finds its way onto and into your car or truck is shocking. Cleaning your car or truck several times a month is a good beginning when it comes to detailing but you really need to go further. Keep reading to learn the best way to clean your car.
The approach to cleaning your car starts and ends with rinsing. You'll want to thoroughly rinse the car to eliminate loose dirt and to make it easier to remove any dirt that is caked on. You'll need water overflowing out of a water hose, but it needs to be the right pressure or it won't reach what you are aiming at. You don't want it to be too hard or it could hurt your car by causing scratches from the excessive pressure. Detailers like to have the water streaming readily, above the car, from a hose without the nozzle. Don't use a bathroom or kitchen cleanser but instead find something created specifically for cars. Dish cleaning soap is simply too strong and it will probably strip off the wax on your car, along with causing scratches.
When you have purchased the cleaner you need, mix it as advised and prepare to wash your car. You have a muff or sponge, which you dip into the bucket of water containing the solution you just mixed. It is advisable to comply with these guidelines to protect your car's surface. Use a sufficient supply of water and cleaner; smaller cars need 3 or 4 buckets while larger ones need 5 or 6. You want to do your washing in sections, starting at the top, which will make rinsing easier.
Next, you will want to clean the doors and other car surfaces. In the middle of each segment, make sure you do a thorough rinsing. After you have applied the soap, rinse straight away so as to avoid developing a film or unsightly stain on the car's surface. Be certain that you thoroughly rinse the car after finishing the individual sections and use adequate water to eliminate any soap residue. If you don't like the look of the vehicle after one wash, wash it an additional time.
In detailing, the initial wash is more like introducing the cleaning, where not all of the filth is taken care of. The subsequent washing removes the rest of the dirt; this part of the process represents good detailing.
